Employment...
At present
Linda is Deputy Vice-Principal and Director of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Additional Employment
As well as her post at the Royal Northern College of Music, Linda finds additional employment as a freelance professional clarinettist (more information on this in the Performance section), as an external examiner for Trinity College of Music, the University of Salford and the RWCMD. Linda is also the UK representative for Howarth Clarinets.
Lecturing
An active lecturer in her field, Linda has deliverd lectures and masterclasses at a number of institutions including Florida State University, Birmingham Conservatoire, Welsh College of Music and Drama, Reading University, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Colchester Centre of Performing Arts, Grenadier Guards, Indiana University, Queensland Conservatorium, Brisbane, Chethams School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N.Y. University of Illinois and University of St. Thomas, Minnesota.
Conference Participation
Linda also finds time to participate in numerous conferences including the Mid-West Conference, Chicago, Sonic Arts Network, Belfast, Concerto performances WASBE, Lucerne, Paper on British Clarinet Pedagogy, Stockholm and the International ClarinetFests in Belgium and Stockholm. In 2003 Linda will give a concerto performance at the Mid-West Conference in Chicago.
